Hello!!! This year marked my third year as an international student in Jeonbuk National University.

As a Malaysian, we have the biggest celebration in our home country called Eid day. This celebration was to congratulate muslim for completing a month of fasting. Far away from home and family, we tried our best to make it a lovely celebration. The thing is, it is not only celebrated by muslim people but by all Malaysians.

In JBNU, we have more than 10 full time students from Malaysia. It’s becoming a tradition to celebrate Eid together each year. In 2023, we found a place in JBNU that was full of cherry blossoms and decided to have eid foods together. Not only that, we invited our international and local friends. We had great food and moments together!

This year, the eid falls on the same day as election day which is on 10th April 2024. We are so lucky to have some day off to celebrate it together! Additional points with the scenery of blooming cherry blossoms around JBNU!!! Not only that, we invited friends from other universities (Daejeon & Cheonan) to visit our beautiful university.

As an international student in JBNU, we always had a great time to cherish together not only among Malaysians, but others friends too.
