We are pleased to announce that the application for “Tohoku University Japanese Program (TUJP) Winter 2025-26” is open now.

We do not require the nomination. The students can apply directly.
We do not set the application limit per university.
We are happy to design a customized program based on your request.


The programs contain the practical Japanese language, Japanese culture & society, and the exchange with the local students. We welcome both undergraduate and graduate students.

Date: Dec 5 - 18, 2025  ( 2 weeks)
Credits: 3 ECTS equivalent
Program Fee: JPY 105,000*

Application Deadline: September 30, 11:59 p.m.(JST)
Admission  Notification Date: Mid October, 2025
Payment  Deadline: Mid October, 2025

Date: January 21 - February 3, 2026 (2 weeks)
Credits: 3 ECTS equivalent
Program Fee: JPY 105,000*

Application Deadline: October 20, 11:59 p.m.(JST)
Admission  Notification Date: Early November, 2025
Payment  Deadline:  Mid November, 2025
